Nacionalni Park Biogradska Gora je stanište brojnih ptičjih vrsta, među kojima su tetreb, ševa, ćubasta senica, žuta i plava senica, sova, kliktavac, jastreb mišar i carski orao. Nacionalni Park Biogradska Gora je bogat drevnim istorijskim i kulturnim nasleđem duhovnih spomenika, tradicionalne arhitekture i arheoloških nalazišta. Mnoga sela i “katuni”, kuće, brvnare, kule, vodenice su razbacane po granicama drevnih šumskih rezervata Bjelasice. Katuni na lokacijama Pešića rupe, Vranjaka, Siska i Vragodola su najživopisniji i najzanimljiviji. Tokom letnje sezone planinske padine ožive, katuni su puni ljudi, a proplancima odjekuje zvon klepetuše ovna predvodnika. U Nacionalnom Parku Biogradska Gora postoji šest obeleženih planinarskih staza. Područje Nacionalnog Parka Biogradska Gora i planine Bjelasice je moguće prepešačiti za tri dana.
Lednička jezera Nacionalnog Parka Biogradske Gore su jedinstveno lepa. To suBiogradsko Jezero, Pešića Jezero, dva Ursulovačka Jezera i Šiško Jezero. Od svih jezera Nacionalnog Parka Biogradska Gora je Biogradsko Jezero najveće i nalazi se na nadmorskoj visini od 1094 metara. Biogradsko Jezero se nalazi u središnjem delu Biogradske Gore, na mestu gde se u davnoj prošlosi otopio lednik, stvorivši vodenu površinu od oko 250000 m2, veličine zavisne od količine vode. Najveća dubina Biogradskog Jezera je 12,1 metar. Obale Biogradskog Jezera su duge oko 3,5 km. Biogradsko Jezero napaja Biogradska Reka. Magično Šiško Jezero se nalazi na nadmorskoj visini od 1680 metara.

Planina Bjelasica je sigurno jedna od najlepših planina Crne Gore. Bjelasica pripada središnjem kontinentalnom crnogorskom regionu. Bjelasica se graniči na istokuMoračkim planinama /2226 metara, Sinjajevinom /2203 metara, Vojnikom /1997 metara/, Golijom /1942 metra/, Maganikom /2318 metara/, na severu Prokletijama /2694 metara/, Komovima /2487 metara/, Kučkom Krajinom /2184 metara/, na zapadu planinom Hajlom /2403 metara/, na severozapadu Mokrom Planinom /2003 metara/, na jugoistoku Durmitorom /2523 metara/, Maglićem /2388 metara/, Biočem /2397 metara/, Volujkom /2336 metara/ i Ljubusnjom /2238 metara/, sa juga planinama Srbije Zlatarom /1626 metara/ i Zlatiborom /1496 metara/, sa jugozapadne strane planinama u Srbiji, Kopaonikom /2017 metara/, Golijom /1833 metara/, Radočelom /1643 metara/, Pešterom /1617 metara/, Čemernom /1579 metara/. Masiv planine Bjelasice, dug i širok 30 km ima 10 vrhova preko 2000 metara. Geološke odlike Bjelasice su vulkanskog porekla, sa blago zaobljenim oblicima i širokim prostranstvom njenih nežno valovitih pejsaža, koji su očaravajući.

Biogradska Gora National Park is situated in the northeastern area of Montenegro between the Tara and Lim rivers and the central part of gorgeous Bjelasica Mountain. The Biogradska Gora National Park is the first national park of Montenegro, established in 1952 and covers an area of 5650 hectares. Protection of this glorious region dates back to 1878, when Prince Nikola Petrovic played a role in establishing the region as a protected area for the enjoyment for future generations. The entrance to Biogradska Gora is less than 20 kilometers away between Mojkovac and Kolasin. The peaks of several mountains define the edges of the forests, with Crna Glava /2139 meters/, Zekova Glava /2117 meters/, and Troglava /2072 meters/. Bjelasica Mountain is the greenest mountain in Montenegro, also very rich with water sources.
The forests of Biogradska Gora are simply a natural phenomenon, situated on slopes with as much as a 1,000 meters in height differential, along with Biograd Lake's serene beauty, provide an unusual variety of micro climates in a compact area. The forests are the most important natural feature of the park, as the 1,600-hectare woods are one of the last three primeval forests in Europe. Swift streams cut through the scenery of Biogradska Gora, green pastures and clear lakes reflecting forests. The Biogradska Gora National park is home to a multitude of bird species, including grouse, lark, Crested Titmouse, Yellow and Blue Titmouse, hawks, kestrels and buzzards, and the Imperial Eagle. The Biogradska Gora National Park also has an ancient cultural and historical heritage of sacred monuments, traditional architecture, and archaeological sites. Numerous villages and "katuns", houses, cottages, towers, water-mills are scattered along the borders of the primeval reserve of Bjelasica Mountain. "Katuns" on the territories of Pesica rupe, Vranjak, Sisak and Vragodo are most picturesque and attractive. During the summer seasons the slopes come alive, katuns are filled with people and glades resound with the bells of "chaktars" (lead rams). There are 6 well marked trekking trails in Biogradska Gora National Park and Bjelasica Mountain. Uniquely beautiful are glacial lakes of Biogradska Gora National Park. They are Biogradsko Lake, Pesica Lake, two of Ursulovacko lakes and Sisko Lake. Amongst all lakes of Biogradska Gora National Park the largest one is gorgeous Biograd Lake, at the altitude of 1094 meters. Biogradsko Lake is situated in the central part of Biogradska Gora, on the place where glacier melted in the late past and formed the water surface which covers the area up to 250000 m2, depending on the water level. The maximum depth of Biograd Lake is 12,1 meters. Shores of Biograd Lake are about 3,5 km long. Fantastic Biograd Lake is fed by Biograd River. Gorgeous Sisko Lake lies at the altitude of 1680 meters.

The massif of Mt Bjelasica Mountain is 30 km wide and equally long and has 10 peaks above 2000 meters. Geological features of Bjelasica Mountain are of volcanic origins, with smooth round shapes, and vast spaciousness of it's mildly rolling landscapes which is amazing.
